7 For All Mankind®, the world’s premiere leader of denim and lifestyle products, unveils its Spring/Summer 2015 Brand campaign with a continued promise to create iconic denim and fashion imagery.
The concept of the campaign is called #7EMOTIONS and looks to delve into deeper meanings behind the number 7; it symbolizes spiritual perfection. All of life revolves around this number and plays into everyone’s life each day, all over the world. There are 7 days in every week, 7 deadly sins and 7 colors in a rainbow. There are 7 compartments of the heart and now there are the 7 emotions for 7 For All Mankind.
The SS15 campaign officially launches in March 2015 with a fresh multi-media approach alongside the print advertising creative.
Launching #7EMOTIONS is a collection of 15-second films, which will share diverse interpretations of 7 different emotions: Devine life purpose, Contemplation & Discernment, Endurance & Determination, Knowledge Seeking, Spiritual Enlightenment, Understanding of Others and Wisdom & Dignity; each that aligns and connects with the ethos and DNA of the California denim brand.
Clad in 7 For All Mankind’s new silhouettes for the season, Australian top model Miranda Kerr conveys each emotion with a sense of true vulnerability. Once again joining Kerr in front of the lens is Spanish model and actor, Jon Kortajarena. On set, each model was given an emotion on the spot, which allowed for truly personal and intimate reactions rather than a rehearsed and contrived interpretation. Given the same emotion, each result was quite different. Kerr, a woman who has been in the spotlight for over a decade, shows a softer innocence.
Kortajarena, a man known for his masculinity and sex appeal, started crying actual tears in front of the camera. In an effort to enlighten viewers, 7 For All Mankind does not wish to tell them how to act or feel, but instead showcase each person’s innate ability to foster their own real reactions and embrace diversity. The aim is to emphasize the beauty of individuality.

Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of this endeavor was putting together the creative team of top talent to bring 7 For All Mankind’s vision to life. The campaign was shot by renowned photographer, Sebastian Faena, known for his ability to imitate the energy of young Hollywood, thus creating exceptional images and an intoxicating narrative. Sara Jane Hoare, British-born stylist and editor, styled the campaign for her inimitable sophistication and sex appeal. 7 For All Mankind’s Spring/Summer 2015 brand campaign goes beyond the print creative and is designed to live digitally. #7EMOTIONS is thought – provoking, beautiful and above all, real.
